It is made in the traditional way from Champagne grape juice to which Fine de La Marne alcohol (eau-de-vie) is added. This magnificent cuvée is distinguished by the subtle aromas it acquires after maturing for 4 years in Foudres de Chêne.
A true amber nectar, Le Ratafia de Champagne reveals a delicate nose with aromas of pear and honey. It is round, silky and pleasantly lively on the palate, leaving an impression of freshness through to a long, slightly spicy finish bursting with fruit. Delicious as an aperitif, it goes remarkably well with soft cheeses for an original pairing. Ideal with pan-fried foie gras deglazed with Ratafia, or fruit salad, especially melon. It also enhances the smoothness of chocolate desserts. It is also an original base for cocktails.
